My huawie E220 and E620 both use the option module.

I also have binfmt_misc and usbserial, are closely related to the modem

usb_storage, My E620 has a whole 38Mb of un-writable memory (at least to me)

you could add "option" to the file /etc/modprobe.preload

The rest is configured by the network manager, either kde or Mandrive MCC (configure your computer) You will need to reboot.

in /etc/modprobe.conf, well, it used to be there, it is probably built in now, I custom compile my kernels.

Use the search function, there's been plenty written about this over the last 2 years.

Cheers, and best regards, Glenn
