Thumbs up HP PSC 1340 All-in-One help please


Hi, I have this printer and just does not work.
I do not care about scanning or coping all that I want is printing, has any body set this printer up. in cups. thanks

i had a look here

and doesn't seem as the printer is supported yet, but it shouldn't be long. if it were me i 'd try the driver anyway, it just might work. here's the driver page

thanks man,
I actualy know that is supported and that is woking on linux, full feature , so far tha only thing that I want is just print, so if you know what driver is a generic one. I try many of them but not lock yet.

i'd try the hpijs driver. you can get the ppd here

I download them and when I run the ./configure I get issue with cc and gcc path$
and so far I need only printing, do you know a generic drive that will work for just priting in this printer

do you have the development packages, kernel source, and headers installed? you'll need all of those to compile anything.
