HP P2035n consecutive print jobs failure
I have a RedHat 5.11 Linux system with many printers attached.
Some HP 4015, and some HP P2035n.
Problem is that consecutive print jobs to a HP P2035n cause the second print job to not print. Need to wait at about 5 mins before printing consecutive print jobs. Same print job to a HP 4105 works, and do not have to delay between consecutive print jobs.
System has the latest updates for 5.11. I have also loaded hplipfull-3.15.4-0. The HP 4015 CUPS driver is Raw.
I have tried the following drivers with the HP P2035n:
Raw
HP LaserJet 5 Foomatic/hpijs (recommended)
HP LaserJet p2055 pcl3, hpcups 3.15.4
HP LaserJet p2035n pcl3, hpcups 3.15.4, requires proprietary plugin
HP LaserJet 5 Foomatic/ljet4
I have tried with the following URI's:
socket://???.???.???.???:9100
lpd://???.???.???.???/RAW
hp:/net/HP_LaserJet_P2035n?ip=???.???.???.???
I have not tried all combinations of drivers and URI's: Till now
we have always used the socket URI.
The program we use to generate the print job can generate PS or PCL.
We originally could only generate PS, and had the same problem initially when using the Raw printer driver on the P2035n. Switching to HP LaserJet 5 Foomatic/hpijs, fixed the issue. However PS is very slow 10-14 seconds between pages. We came up the PCL generator and it prints much faster. How ever the consecutive print jobs issue is back.
Any one else ever seen this problem, and/or have a solution/suggestion?
Regards
John
