HP Color Laserjet 3700, anyone?

Has anyone tried the HP Color Laserjet 3700? I am running SuSE 9.1 and looking to purchase a colour laser printer. The 3500 is the right sort of size and capability but it uses a funny new print language called “JetReady” and I understand that the new language relegates the 3500 to being a paperweight. This is confirmed by linuxprinting.org. However the 3700 uses the more familiar PCL6 printing language and isn’t listed in linuxprinting.org. HP says that both are Linux compatible but we all know that the manufacturers will tell you just about anything to get you to buy. So, does anyone have any experience with the HP Color LaserJet 3700?

I took the plunge and got the HP Colour LaserJet 3700dn. If I get a chance I’ll do more of a write up but in short, I plugged it in, set the IP etc, and it works a treat! Very nice colour laser printer. I set the cups driver as the HP Color Laser PCL6 in SuSE 9.1 Pro, set it up in Samba and everything appears to be working.
