freddurgan LQ Newbie Registered: Jan 2004 Posts: 6 Rep:	Hows the SATA support in 2.6 atm? I have a VT6420. Well, as I've figured out through some HEAVY google'ing that the VIA VT6420 SATA RAID controller is not doing well in the linux area. But, I finally found a small nugget of info - The 2.6.something (but it's out), has beta support for the VT6420, but it has lots of DMA errors and timeouts. That doesnt sound terribly super. Anyone know if support for that controller is useable atm? Or should I just wait for more kernel releases. I'd prefer to not have to wait, but, what are you gonna do, lol.
