How to use two sound cards with xmms? (cs4239 and H/K iSub)

I acquired an old iSub USB subwoofer today. Works great, alone. It was designed to have the mac kernel automatically crossover the bass to it's USB audio device and the treble to the mac's on board audio device, with the built in speakers.

I want to do this with Ubuntu. I don't care about the virtual crossover, but I would like both to be active at once with the same input (mainly xmms). I've tried to do this using alsa and again with JACK with no luck thus far.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to bind the two card together somehow? I've been googling for the last two hours, and havn't even seen anyone using the iSub with linux once.

I'm using Ubuntu edgy, if it matters.

Thanks all!
