How to setup RAID on existing single drive system?

I'm wondering how to setup a RAID 0 on an existing single-drive system with an NTFS and Ext3 Partition.

My motherboard has a SATA RAID controler built in.

If I get the same exact drive that I currently have, how would I get the RAID setup?

Do I need to copy the same image to the new drive?

How does this work within Linux once the hardware is there?

I know I've asked the same question multiple times, but I'd really like to set this up.

Thanks.

E
