How to scan to file from the command line using Ubuntu Server LTS 10.04?

Hey LQers,

So, I'm in a bit of a jam. I have a HP LaserJet 3330 and I'm trying to set up scanning over the network. So far, I have printing working, but I can't seem to get the device to scan. Furthemore, I can't even get Ubuntu to recognize the hardware. I've tried installing both hplip and SANE, but that hasn't fixed the issue.

Can this be done? If so, does anyone know how?

I need someone to point me in the right direction to find a solution.

As always, I appreciate the assistance!
