How to Recover Data from an ext3 partition

Hi All,
The OS on my m/c was RH9.0 and it got corrupted couple of days earlier and i reinstalled the OS after reformatting all the partitions.
But now i findout that one of my very importent data was on the reformatted partition.Is there any way to recover my data ...
Can anyone help me to findout a way to retrive my data?
