how to pass kernel module options (cx8800, ATI Tv Wonder pro)

I have an ATI TV WONDER PRO tv tuner that i wish to get working in linux

I know i want to pass these options when inserting the module (modprobe, suse9.2,redhat based)

card=4 tuner=44

Do i just type "modprobe cx8800 card=4 tuner=44" ???

With just typing "modprobe cx8800" i can view VERY low quality video and sound in xawtv4, but nothing else

Thanks for the help

cx8800 driver with ATI TV Wonder Pro

Adding those options to the module doesn't seem to make any difference for me. Either way the video looks very green, and the audio doesn't seem to be working.

Have you made any progress?

I am using TvTime ... don't know if this makes any difference.

More info ....

I still have funny looking video, but after installing the latest video4linux snapshot I have good quality sound.

I'm not sure whether my video looks funny because the source is an antenna or if it is just bad.

At any rate ... here is a link for some good info on getting the sound working:

My sound was working, but it wasnt picking up the Tuner was NTSC, the actual capture worked, i tested an N64 with it, and it worked. As well the Audio was fine, i think it is picking up PAL frequencies
