How to make a winmodem fuction on Mandrake 9.2

I am using temporarily a Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo laptop which has the following winmodem installed: "Lucent Technologies Soft Modem AMR" which is located on PCSI bus 0. Any ideas on how to make it work with my Mandrake 9.2?

Hi Impaler,

This webpage might help:

http://www.physcip.uni-stuttgart.de/heby/ltmodem/

I used to use an ltmodem under RedHat and Mandrake, the ltmodem rpms worked great for me. make sure you get one to match your kernel unless you're goingto compile yourself!

[OOOPS, edit :] apologies, I've just noticed that AMR modems are not supported by this driver
