Question how to load a network driver

I have a question about my network driver
i have already unzip the driver and have now a
rhinefet.o.

But now i have to install it and if i am right i have to use the command make & install but it doesn`t work!!!

If i use the command insmod <driver-name> (rhinefet.o)
I`ve got the error:
rhinefet.o was compiled for kernel version 2.4.18-4GB
and i have version 2.4.10-4GB

but i have now access to the internet with the server so i can`t download a new kernel !!

Can you help me????
