Post how to know what hardware are installed in my computer


I am using Redhat Linux 5. How can I know that what are the hardware installed in my computers.

Use the lscpi and lsusb commands. You can also look at the computer, and look up the specs on the internet.

And do you mean RedHat ENTERPRISE 5?? If so, you can contact them for support, since you're paying for it. If you're NOT paying, load CentOS, or another community-supported distro.

And...

The command "lshw", if you have it, will give you a good list of your hardware. If you are without it, it seems to be available as an RPM.
