Fix all prblems

Well I guess I will be waiting a long time. its reinstalling a lot in the kernel area . What did was clean the yum cashe and told smart-root to fix all problems, all this just for just to install a nvidia card.

Error: Missing Dependency: python(abi) = 2.4 is needed by package livna-config-display
Error: Missing Dependency: libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2 is needed by package aim

I don't think those are imported. but I thought I list them any way.

It really was not the drivers problem. Somehow the system got screwed (it happens).

Yes, anything that is listed as a dependency is important. Install them.

maybe

well yes I guess but I still have not fix the driver you would think it was the other way. at least on how windows works I did not think AIM and livna-config-display a application could cause that must trouble

thank you

livna-config-display is part of the driver.

Almost

I noticed (in another thread) that you use atrpms(at least for some stuff). Atrpms is known to replace core parts of FC with its own versions. These "upgrades" are also known not to play well with other repos (including core and extras). This may be the source of the problem.

Smile Fedore Core 7 installed 2.6.21-1.3189

Well no I did not use that site, but I don't recall other the AIM, opera and livia that I installed from a RPM. most to the stuff I used pirut and then I started using yum. and kyum. if your thinking MySQL that was installed before. I don't recall the other I did hover break my computer cause it will not start in level 5. I can still get in level 3 and startx. see you later. and thank you so much for your help. well the computer maybe more broke the I started but I learn a lot. thank you

I think I start /etc/initlog.conf at file

Code:
# /etc/initlog.conf
#
# initlog configuration file
#
# lines preceded by a '#' are comments
#
# anything not recognized is ignored. :)

# This sets the default logging facility. (can override with command line arguments)
facility local7

# This sets the default logging priority. (can override with command line arguments)
priority notice

# ignore foo
# means to discard any output lines that match the regular expression foo

# This regexp is useful if you use fsck's -C option.
ignore [^:]+: \|[=]+
# This regexp is useful for fsck's feature of setting file types
ignore [^:]+: Setting filetype
# This regexp is useful for quotacheck
ignore ^[-\\\|\/]$
but that does not to be anything wrong that I know of there.

well I did not use that I use kplayer. I was just pionting to a bad place I guess. I don't like xmms. but if he was going to use xmms he would need something that played mp3 or xmms is pointless. I was just look up the code four xmms.

what files do you think are worng with X11 I see the start up but it never get to the desktop. I just show the KDE stuff. never asked for use name a password. and I just have a thinking mouse and a blue backgound.

Fedora 7 is still in test 4 so I have not played with it yet(other than live cd). I usually wait until the new version has been released so I can tell if it is a problem that I am having or one that the test version is having.

By the way it is Fedora 7 not FC7.

Fedora is fairly gnome centric so it may (but I do not think so). Fedora 7 is probably the strongest KDE centric of the line. Where did you get a machine with Fedora 7 (test 4?) installed? Fedora 7 itself has not been released: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Releases/7/

Cool yum update

I told it to do a yum update. it install about 1024 updates.

Now I am stuck with a system I have to type startx to get x11 running. But I first have to get type init 3, cause X11 is not running right like a said.

this was after told smart root GUI to fix all.
