How to install new lan card


Can somebody help me on how to install my new land card? If it need different driver, where can I found the driver for this land card.

Linux has very good support for NIC's. Your best bet is to put
it in the machine and fire it up. If it isn't recognised then come back and ask.

Googling for the card name seems to produce no pages where people are asking for help on how to get it working.
I think you may be OK.

Thanks for the reply,

Ifve already tried to plug before booting so that it will recognized, but when Ifm trying to add new Ethernet adaptor in the network configuration, no Buffalo land card and I donft how to add new adaptor except for the Linux built-in.

I found a page that says that this card uses the Realtek 8100 chip.

Just booting Knoppix is often helpful. The boot messages contain a wealth of hardware & other diagnostic info. If you don't want to wait for the GUI, use "knoppix 2" @ the 1st splash screen.

thanks guys I've just choose different nic but it works, I don't know if they have the same chipset but it is actually working.

I don't what will be the other problem though.
