your sound works...ok..
are you sure you should have digital control on mixer (for sound card)? sound=analog, no? do you have digital soundcard-- output? (or, are you 'suppose' to)? |
1:are you sure you should have digital control on mixer (for sound card)? sound=analog, no?
I donnot know ,it is what I want to find I set alsamixer acording to http://alsa.opensrc.org/DigitalOut # IEC958 Output: Press M to unmute. # IEC958: Set to "PCM Out". # IEC958 1: Set to "PCM Out" but no sound 2:do you have digital soundcard-- output? (or, are you 'suppose' to)? yes because i can use spdif on winxp 2: |
it's called iec958 ac97 spsa on my 'volume control' manager
and i have two of them!! exactly the same-- right next to each other! too bad i can't give you one.. i don't even use them!! lol keep checking.. there has to be something wrong with a driver or mixer program. try a differnt mixer maybe.. also compiling a driver or program will help because it will help you fine tune your system and make sure you are aware in anvance of any short commings and what you can do to enhance your sys. it's only 3 commands usually to compile a program. |
where i can find gnome-alsamixer?
spdif is there [root@localhost ~]# gnome-alsamixer bash: gnome-alsamixer: command not found [root@localhost ~]# whereis gnome-alsamixer gnome-alsamixer: [root@localhost ~]# |

install gnom-alsamixer
still no spdif |
- you have not compiled your driver, no?
- did you look for another driver... that is newer.. or better? - have you tried another os in linux (like knoppix livedCD, or mandy?). you must keep testing... :) |
