How to find that Hard Drive is in degraged mode ?


Hi,
I m basically a solaris user.In Solaris we can find out that the hard drive is in degraded mode and can fail in the future usiong "iostat -En" command.
But is there any method to find the same in Linux ?

A search of apt tells me that there's an iostat program available in the sysstat package. And Google gives me this page for it. I have no idea if it has the same functionality as the Solaris version though.
