How to disable on-board audio in CentOS?
 

Hi there,

I have got a problem. I have a CentOS linux box. When I view something on Youtube, both of my earphone and the case (motherboard) have got the sound, which is quite annoying.

Can I ask how to disable the sound from the motherboard?

The machine is located at my office, and it is a shared machine I have no access to the BIOS. I can't reboot it.

Have any ideas to fix this problem without modify the BIOS options? Is it anywhere to fix it use some GUI? (I think there is somewhere like the hardware manager in Windows can fix it.)

What audio HW is listed, which audio drivers and sound system are in use? Doesn't the sound system control panel or mixer allow you to mute one? Else can you unload and black-list audio drivers?
