how to use an apc ups with kubuntu

Hello. I have installed kubuntu about a month ago and I would like to use some application on kubuntu that can manage my APC RS 1500 UPS. I have downloaded gapcmon but I don`t know how to setup it to work with my UPS through the USB port like I do on Windows.
Many thanks and I hope you to understand my bad English.
Bye bye.
