If I remember correctly, RHEL 4 does not support SATA. Why not use the current version?

If you must have version 4, try the RedHat website.

SATA : not really an issue, the SATA controller can be,
if it is a new computer.
http://linuxmafia.com/faq/Hardware/sata.html > Note.

( I have EL 4 (CentOS 4.2) running on SATA, the chip set
is Intel, from year 2004.)

So either try the latest EL 4 = EL 4.8 or use EL 5.4
as suggested by @pixellany.
EL 5.5 : Soon to come, with even more new drivers.

As others have said, use a newer version of RedHat, but only if you plan on paying for it. Otherwise, use CentOS.

You can also try to set the BIOS on the SATA controller, to emulate an IDE/SCSI drive, but that depends on the hardware. But you don't say anything about it, so we don't know. And spell out your words. It's "please", not "plz".
