how should i make work power-on by alarm?

i'm runing suse 10.0 on epox 8rda+ mainboard. previously i was using windows xp. after i've installed suse, i have noted that BIOS function power-on by alarm is not working for some reason. although, it was working pretty good when i was using windows. i've tried to load optimized defaults, fail-safe defaults, but it doesn't solve the problem. BIOS is some kind of phoenix award BIOS and its up to date.

i have flashed my BIOS once more and booted with knoppix with kernel 2.6.11 as well as suse with 2.6.13.15 but with no results.. it looks that that the problem realy is in linux.
