I am running an IBM T41p 2373GEU, and I was trying to install Slackware 9.0 on it.
Anyway, I wanted the nice features of the 2.6 kernel (mainly power management), so I downloaded and compiled 2.6-test11. So far so good.
My sound works (though it has issues...) my NIC works (great) and overall things are going pretty well. My biggest problems are video and wireless.
I have a FireGL T2-128 card, which is supported under the ATI fglrx 3.2.8 drivers. I "modded" the drivers according to
this site and it compiled and installed successfully.
Also, the module seems to load all right (modprobe fglrx) but when I run X, I get the notorious no screens found error.
I use fglrxconfig to set up my XF86Config (yes, I moved XF86Config-4 to XF86Config) but I still get the err.
Is there anything I can do?
