Exclamation How do I get a Broadcom Dell Wireless 1350 WLAN Mini-PCI card to work?

Do I need to download something? Or do I need to reconfigure stuff? (Perhaps I should post under 'newbie')

I want to have linux, but I can't do without my wireless. I am currently under XP, but I have had this problem in the past and I want to know how to fix this before I install linux again.

*edit* I went to Gentoo's website and I'm not the only one to have this problem. I found a form where someone was just as confused as I am. So I think I can follow them- and hopefully my problems won't stray from theirs.

An idea:

If I remember correctly (and there's no guarantee of that ) many Broadcom devices work well using NDISwrapper, combined with the WinXP/Win2000 driver files.

NDISwrapper is a wrapper driver, designed for using WinXX drivers under Linux, which is not really a lovely solution, but one that works in a pinch.

Google for NDISwrapper, go to the website, and check the 'supported/working devices' list(s) and see if your device is listed there.

Good luck

Sasha
