How could I make USB speaker as default/master speaker ?

I format my laptop: HP Pavillion dv8210us and install openSuse 10.2 successfully.

My PC has an internal speaker and one BOSE USB external speaker. Both are working fine. But problem is, when I play any audio file, it will always use internal speaker instead of USB speaker. How could I make USB speaker as default/master speaker ?

Thanks.

You can modify the file /etc/modules.conf (or /etc/modules.d/options) to change the index order of the sound cards. Look for a file that lists the sound drivers, and add "options snd-hda-intel index=2" and "options snd-usb-audio index=1" as two additional lines. Then reboot.
