Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

How can I get Canon Pixma MP150 to work on Ubuntu Breezy?

I have been trying to use our Canon Pixma MP150 with my Linux box. Unfortunately there are no drivers that seem to support it.

I am running Ubuntu "Breezy" 5.10 on intel Celeron (2Ghz) with no other problems. (well. I will be when I replace the brand new hard drive that failed sat. 17th)

Does anyone have any idea how I can get the thing working?
(the printer is USB, BTW.)

I'm sure that any solution will be really obvious with hindsight.
Also note that the linux box is NOT connected to the net.

Nope. There are no free drivers for this printer, a common experience with Canon.

You can however use the proprietary Turboprint driver, provided you're willing to shell out the cash.
