how an i get wifi setup in fedora


i am newbee at linux and all ineed to kmnow that how can i install wifi connection in my hp laptop.
i am currently using fedora6.06 .

I assume you already have a WiFi device built into the machine, and are not looking for a USB or PCMCIA option?

The first thing you need to do is find out what hardware is in the machine. Running "lspci" should tell you. Once you have figured that out, you can search online and see what your options are for Linux support.

It will either be using ndiswrapper, a native driver, or not having wireless. Those are the choices, for the most part.
