Hi everyone,
I have a wireless network card that uses the hostap/hostap_pci drivers. When I type in modprobe hostap;modprobe hostap_pci, I get the following in my kernel messages:
ieee80211_crypt: registered algorithm 'NULL'
ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:00:08.0[A] -> Link [LNKB] -> GSI 5 (level, low) -> IRQ 5
hostap_pci: Registered netdevice wifi0
wifi0: Original COR value: 0x44
wifi0: COR sreset timeout
wifi0: __hfa384x_cmd_no_wait(6) - timeout - reg=0xc144
hostap_pci: first command failed - assuming card does not have primary firmware
hostap_pci: assuming no Primary image in flash - card initialization not completed
wifi0: test Genesis mode with HCR 0x1f

wifi0: registered netdevice wlan0
wifi0: cannot get RID fdc6 (len=12) - no PRI f/w
wlan0: cannot get RID fdc6 (len=12) - no PRI f/w
Also, when I type in iwconfig, I get the following:
wifi0 IEEE 802.11-DS ESSID:"test"
Mode:Master
Encryption key
ff
wlan0 IEEE 802.11-DS ESSID:"test"
Mode:Master

What is my next step in setting up my wireless network card? I've read a lot of guides with no avail. Something about firmware? Please direct.
