Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

Hmmm, that windows key on my keyboard...

Hi again to everyone!

Like the wheel on my Logitech Mouse, I find that windows key on my keyboard highly useful... how does one get this to work under linux?

I'd appreciate any help... have a nice day

Thanks amigo... (though I think average me would find this a bit too technical)

Tried showkeys -s command got:
0xe0 0x5b (left windows key)
0xe0 0x5b (right windows key)

Anyway, followed the instructions on the howto to the letter (I think)

typed:

setkeycodes e05b 125
setkeycodes e05c 126 (am I doing this right so far?)

Hmmm... I don't know if I should have typed 0xe0 0x5b instead of e05b.

Now onto the loadkeys command...

.... now what?

type:

loadkeys
keycode 125=?
keycode 126=?
(anyway how do you end this?)

Sorry - my puny brain, for some reason, cannot comprehend the howto this morning.

By the way, I apologize for the late response... my eyelids just got way too heavy...
