HEY
i need a way to transfer 2 RPMs to my laptop (it is not networked or ne thing)
i have a Memorex 512 flash drive and a 64 MB SD Card and a CardReader thing witch uses the SD and has a floppy...
ne ideas?BTW i cant mount the floppy drive (it connects via USB)
EAsy way to do it would be to burn them to a CD, failing that, depending on the size, you could always email them to yourself, and then download the emails from the other computer
well #1 i dont have internet
lol
#2 the comp doesnt write CDs !!!evil!!!
so i need to mount the Card
Reader but when i plugit in and goto Computerand doubleclick on it to has an error that says cannont mount volume
in details it says"usually due to no media"
????so????

Dont ask me about card readers and mounting.. im having enough trouble with my own :\ stupid things
So next thing would be to email them to a friends computer and get him/her to burn them to a cd, if he/she hasnt got a cd writer then looks like your floating down crap creek without a paddle .. unfortunately
when MY MOM GETS HOME!!! ill try her flash drive...in the HCL list or w/e it says the flash thing is supported so ill try it, did i mention i was going to try it??? lol

Heads up on the cardreader. If it can more than one type of card then the reason it does not see the media is becuase it is not the first slot. Some multi slot cardreaders require the multi-lun support or also called probe all luns support compiled in the kernel. Not all require this but most I have seen do.
Just to make sure if itis seen is plug in the card reader with the sd card plugged in and as root ' su - ' type ' /sbin/fdsik -l ' with out the ' '. Note the ' l ' is a lower case L. Now it will show your harddrive and if it see the media it will show up as /dev/sd** something. If it does not show up then you will need to recompile the kernel and add multilun support to it.
