High Def DVD for Del Prec 380
My first post... so be gentle. :) I have a Del Precision 380 with Red Hat Nash version 4.2.1.6. Is there a high-def DVD player available to replace the DVD player that came with the computer? I found a BlueRay player that would go in the Del, but it only listed Windows as supported OS.

Welcome to LQ.
Trying to be gentle . . .
Warning: I know next to nothing about BlueRay ... yet. The good news is that your BlueRay player will probably work as a basic player, your problem will be to find playback software, & especially codecs, that can make it work completely. Beware if it is designed for Vista & has DRM built-in -- this might make it difficult or impossible to use in Linux. (See #4 above.) So, answer my Q's, by # if you like, & let's see if we can help. |
