Hi from Copykat: problem installing usb720 modem on centos 5.3
Hello all,
you may be seeing a lot of me becasue I have a LOT of questions hehe
my motorola USB modem shows up in device manager
and when running /sbin/lsusb it says:
Bus 006 Device 003 ID 22b8:0830 Motorola PCS
ubunto did all the work for me so I had hoped centos would too but,
now its time I learned something I guess.
In network connections under mobile broadband I added a cdma connection but it doesnt show up on the initial "hover" menu, only the ethernet one does and when I delete that, it just makes a new one.
since its not online its difficult to post outputs and most advice I've seen assumes I'm online. we have no ethernet online service out here in the hills. I can use sneaker net if I have to. well looking fwd to linuxquestions.org and picking your brains
