Hercules 3d Propet 4500 64MB

Hi!

I'm a Linux Newbie. I got "Hercules 3d Propet 4500 64MB" Graphic card and I download the beta version driver for linux of this card for Powervr but I can't config this to work.

My system:
- MB : ABit THII-Raid
- CPU clock: 1.7 Ghz
- Mem: 512 RDRAM
- Monitor Samsung SyncMaster 753s
- VGA: Hercules 3d Propet 4500 64MB

- OS: Redhat Linux 7.2

You need to tell us what the error is before we can help, just saying that it doesn't work is not enough.

Did you download the driver from http://www.pvrdev.com/driver/index.htm ?
Are you sure you got them specifically for your architecture and kernel? Have you read the instructions on how to install the driver?
Yeah, I know I threw a lot of questions, but it'll be easier for us to help you resolve the issue.

First of all I would like to thanks neo77777 and Aussie.

Now I can run X. The problem that I mentioned on my last post cause by me. I had forgotten to uncomment some lines in the XF86Config-4 files.

Finally, I'm so sorry for my question which I had asked without double check the problem myself. Thanks again for neo77777
who asked me to read the instruction again.

Dear novices2k,

You say that you can install Linux using Monitor Samsung Syncmaster 753s.

How do you do that?

I also have that monitor and get error: unable to probe monitor.

Can u help me?
