I have an Airnet 802.11 g wireless pci adapter I want to use with a machine running fedora core 2, specifically its model number is awd154, where do i start, i just don't know.
That chipset is supported by ndiswrapper for other wireless network cards, so you should be able to get it going - http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/ . Follow through the info from the installation wiki and give it a go
