Help with NIC config
 

I am new to knoppix and have been trying to install my NIC. I found and installed the drivers, but in the NIC setup it says "device busy." Any suggestions?

what kind of nic? what does 'cat /proc/pci' tell you? you sure its the right drivers?

realtek 8310 i think-not sure of number.

You should only modprobe rtl8139 if you have a 2.2.x.x kernel, for a 2.4.x.x kernel you should modprobe 8139too.
