Help!! Mounting a raid array
I currently have linux (Mandrake 9.1) installed on my primary hard drive. I have a larger raid array already divided into two windows drives, one with xp on it and the other with a lot of files.
I want to be able to access the information on these drives using linux (I was a windows user but I want to switch over to using linux). How do I go about mounting this array. I'm nervous about this because I really don't want to mess up the array. The controller is a promise mdfasttrak 133, and embedded chip on my asus a7v333 mobo. The two drives are identical 80 gb wd drives. |
your situation is very similar to mine, only I'm trying to install mandrake onto the raid. I need to find drivers for the thing, but I'm having mucho trouble. You might want to follow my other thread at http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...threadid=70583
and on another board: http://linuxforums.org/viewtopic.php?p=16906#16906 I wouldn't worry too much about damaging the data on your raid. Just installing raid drivers shouldn't do anything. |
