Help installing TP-Link TL-WN651G wireless card

Hi All,

Can anyone help me? I am trying to get a TP-Link TL-WN651G wireless card to work on fedora 10, fedora detects the card but I cannot seem to get an internet connection. I have not installed any drivers as it did not come with any for linux and I cannot find any online.

Cheers

Cool

Fedora system donīt usually recognize TP-Link adapters in my user experience. Sometimes it recognize them, but it does not connect. The same happens in CentOs.
Those adapters have Atheros chipsets. I donīt know if every TPLINK adapter have Atheros inside, but some of them have it, so there is no manufacturer support for Linux.
I don't have a link to a way to fix the problem, but I know the community has already written drivers to work this out in Fedora, non official fixes.
My radical fix from now on is not to buy this type of adapter for use with Linux. Thatīs how I got my problem solved.

Sorry, no...Atheros is support under Linux pretty well. And check the dates and read the thread; they OP posted about Fedora TEN....and this thread had been closed for ELEVEN YEARS before you reopened it.

Atheros support has been in the kernel for at least five years now.

Yep...I noted that in my reply. And I only replied here to correct the misinformation about Atheros, since others may find this thread when doing a search.
