acittica; 1st help us out? name of mfg device & are u on (suse) text or gui?
providing whether dvd is supported by linux is 1st obstacle, if supported most probable os should recognize dvd once installed u r home free. if not
big obstacle to over come. finding drivers proceed contacting mfg of device
if they provide drivers compatible with linux. then install device along with drivers.
