Hi All,
I installed a RH8.0 server and while it is running it shows the error message "{driveready seekcomplete error} hdbma_intr:error=0884{drivestatussrror badCRC}". What does this mean and how can I take care of it

You could check with "hdparm" for which (cd)drives DMA is enabled. Try turning it off and see if the message disappears.
