HD web cams. Which one do you have?


Hi I would like
to ask the fellow users of the forum. To write down their current HD webcam and how good is supported by their distro.
I have a microsoft lifecam which works great in my opensuse 12.3 wit skype

Hi Alex wish if it was that simple what you really need to find out what chip is on the device ok. Because the distributor M$ is just that a logo on that.OV9712 HD CMOS chip. And next year it may change. so I guess it would the make and model might help. That HD cam has been supported by the linux kernel since the 2.6 kernel. and most likely before.
I am happy you have it up and running in your distro.
I my self use a little HP cam in slackware,
