Make a backup of what you need and get a new disk. Then use a big hammer ;-)

Please don't post long log files like that---almost no mortal is going to read all that.
All I needed to hear was "intermittent stoppage of the hard disk".
If it is simply slow to start on occassion, and then eventually spins up, place order for new disk
now.
If it spins up and then stops, place order
3 days ago ...

There is no way to fix it ?? Even if I format it in low level?? What software I use to make a disk image or back up??
Cheers + Thanks

don't bother trying to fix an intermittent mechanical problem.
You said "freezes" which we obviously assumed meant "stops". Have you listened to see if there is any change in noise from the drive?
maybe there is some other issue...
Backup:
What is your normal backup method?
Probably the easiest is a USB external harddrive---you can just copy the files--plus there are many backup utilities which automate the process.

Although this may be considered as a commercial, have a look at this:
http://www.taobackup.com/
Read all of it (except maybe the last page) and be inspired. And do yourself a favour and get a new disk ! Consider it as an early xmas present if you will.
