I just recently installed Mandriva Linux 2006 onto a dell dimension 4100 with 256mb of ram. For the most part everything went pretty well. However, during the installation, the setup detected my printer (Lexmark Z25 via USB) and installed a set of drivers for me. When I asked it to print a test page, it did0 so just fine. But now, after everything has been installed, whenever I try to print up something from any program. The print dialog box pops up showing my printer connected to CUPS and when I go to press print, another dialogue box comes up saying that its sending pages to the printer but nothing ever comes out. My printer never even moves Any ideas on what i'm doing wrong?

When you try to send a page to your printer, go to a terminal window and type lpstat and see if anything shows up in your queue.

My earlier post is gone?? Anyway, I had the same problem but with a Z23 Lexmark printer on a PC w/Mandriva 2006. I tried two different printers both Lexmark and nothing. So I went out awhile ago and bought a $35. HP printer and it works just great.
I used the Z23 printer before on Mandrake 10.0 and it worked fine. Not sure what the deal is there.
