I tried to install Debian through its mini-cd net install. My system is fairly new

Celeron 2.5Ghz
Asus P5a2 motherboard
with "Marvel Yukon 88E8053 PCI-E Gigabit Controller"
Asus 6600 e PCI-e graphic card
Dlink-DSL302g broadband modem with high adsl conneciton to net

Naturally, the installation cd did not recognize my network card so I couldn't go far with it. If you could give me a suggestion how to go through this initial hurdle, I'd greatly appreciate it...

cheers

Hi,
I have one PATA HDD on the primary IDE port but the Debian installer cannot find any harddisks.
Is there a special module which has to be loaded?

Best regards.
