what chipset does it use? *ANYTHING* running a bt878 chipset is fine, but many newer haupage products use a newer chipset, only alpha support.... http://www.bytesex.org for details.

I am a victim. I couldn't use my new hauppage tv tuner card (cx881 chipset) under linux. It has been a year. Buy only bt878 chipset card.

I have a Hauppage TV card, but it's the older kind and not the HDTV one you are talking about. The old card works fine but I have no tried the remote control as I am too lazy to plug it in the back of my computer. Sad but true.
