Hardware-viewing applications and overclocking
 

Does anyone know of any applications that they could recommend to me that let you view the specs of your current system? I mean like an app built specifically for this, one that can show everything really in a single window such as processor speed, Ram, and all that jazz. I believe its viewable in FC4 under settings and such, but I was looking for an application that would make it handier to view.

Also, are there any overclocking apps for linux? O.o
I have an AMD athlon 3200, nvidia Geforce 4 graphics card, and not much else that I would like to overclock. Any suggestions for overclocking those devices from inside linux? My bios doesn't have configs for the processor bus multipliers so I'm stuck unless I reflash my bios, gps

For the Nvidia card you can use both nvidia-settings (comes with the driver) or nvclock.

If you can't change it with the BIOS, I don't think you can change the CPU part. There is a Linux program, nvclock, for changing the Nvidia chip though. I had it installed once before and it worked well enough.

Flash your BIOS, and burn that CPU. :cool:

Don't know anything about Fedora, but in Slackware I'm using lm_sensors with GKrellM to detect CPU temps, fan speeds, RAM, drives, voltages, etc. Here's a screenshot to give you a hint.
