Hardware compatibility & Linux.........
Hello,
I am planning a new PC project, building my own computer, and I plan on running Linux exclusively on this PC, so my question concerns compatibility issues involving Linux distro's and computer hardware. In the past I've installed Mandrake, as well as Fedora, on my PC and was unable to get all of my hardware functioning properly. So would it make sense to try and purchase specific componets to install into my computer, such as certain brands of hardware (ie. Motherboard, Rom drives, Monitor...). Or it simply wouldn't make a difference? If so how do I go about finding what hardware I should purchase?
