hard Drive Question very simple

I'm getting a new hard drive in a few weeks, this being a 200Gb or more SATA Not knowing what Linux capabilities on handling large drives or SATA I want to know Will Linux load as boot system on a SATA HD as I have heard that some people using windows have had problems using the SATA HD as the primary HD.

And what problems may I expect to encounter whilst installing Linux Distro as a duel boot? Thanks in advance for any info on this matter.

Linux doesnt have a prob with Large disks....

Not sure about SATA, but the modern kernel will definately be okay with it.

And yes you will be able to boot from it.....

basically this is a server class OS

not ms-dos with pretty pictures!!!

Thanks what I should have said was, can I boot from it using the SATA hard drive as my master HD, bering in mind that some widows users have had difficulty configuring the SATA HD as the master running an OS and had to settle for using the HD as a slave drive but if you recon Linux dosn't have the same problem then you've answered my question thanks.
