I'm adding a new SCSI HDD to a compaq server that is setup with RAID. Can someone please assist me (refresh my memory) on how to add an additional SCSI HDD to the system?
It's a hardware raid actually. Nothing shows up in the /proc/SCSI file at all. I beleive the RAID configuration file specs shows up under /proc/array.
I dont know if, in order to get the drive recognized if I have to reboot the system and configure the drive via the Compaq utilities or if there is an easier way that I can add the drive via the operating system without having to reboot the system.
