hard drive crash

all of a sudden my secondary hard drive stoped working, it was a windows partition with all my music and movies on it. it said something about a bad superblock. is there any way to fix it?

ouch that really sucks.... just happened to my friend too

have you tried hooking it up into another computer and seeing if you can see the partition there? I had a hard drive crash a year ago that only crashes after about 25 minutes... its partially alive, its my paper weight now

Remove the drive from the fstab file so it wont mount on bootup.
If it is ext2 or ext3 run e2fsck /dev/hdx where x is your hard drive lette rw the problem. See what the erros say and follow the directions.

If it is another FS type, use thier fixing tools to determine if the drive can be saved.
