Gsm Modems & Linux

Hi guys,

I was thinking of installing nagios or zabbix as a monitoring tool on a server...

I would like to add sms support to it, could someone give me some advice on what type of gsm modems are supported/tested under linux ? Or where I can find some guides about this kind of setups ?

I have an RS232 & USB 1.0 interface on the server in question.

you're input is really appreciated !

I will use slackware on the server...

thx
