Hi i have noticed lately that when grubs starts loading my linux. it takes too much time to start loading the os . For make it clearer. When the grub's timers expires (default os is linux) i can see for 10-15 secs the booting parameters on screen.. Dring this period the hard disk led is always on. I was wondering if that means that i am gonna soon face any hard disk failure
Crap.. u are not serious.. Oh my god plz gus give me syggestions!!! Everything seems to be fine except the big time that i can see the booting parameters. Plz any suggestions?
The chances of the MBR failing are pretty slim - you quickly bounce from there to the stage files. The odds are you have a problem elsewhere - doesn't really matter though if the disk is failing.
As for the solution, see my sig ...
Edit: Just re-read the opening post. If you get the bootmenu, and the problem occurs after that, it definitely isn't the MBR.
Get started on those backups
